Texaco President and CEO, Peter Bijur elected to retire and named Senior VP Glen Tilton as his successor.

Dale I. Timmons was elected exploration VP for Nu-Sky Energy Inc.

Maxx Petroleum Ltd. appointed Robert B. Fryk as VP and COO.

Vice Chairman Lucio A. Noto announced his retirement at ExxonMobil’s January board meeting. D. (Dan) Mendell III elected to retire as president from ExxonMobil after more than 40 years of service. S. M. (Steve) Casiani replaced him. A. T. (Tim) Cejka, formerly Caspian Sea / Middle East VP, became executive VP of ExxonMobil Exploration Co.

Terry W. Carter joined Range Resources Corp. as executive VP, E&P.

Bentley Nevada President and COO Roger Harker formally accepted an invitation to serve as a member at large on the board of directors of the International Gas Turbine Institute.

Wieland Electric, Inc., appointed Carl E. Guenberg president. Fred Maderich was named president of Wieland Electric Inc. Canada.

Terry W. Carter joined Range Resources as executive VP, E&P.

Jamie Dunlap joined PYPSA International as executive VP.

Hunting PLC named Dennis Proctor CEO.

James L. Payne retired from his positions as head of international operations and board of directors of Devon Energy Corp.

Kevin M. Kulish joined Enercon Engineering, Inc., as engineering VP.

L. Decker Dawson was elected to the newly created position of chairman and CEO for Dawson Geophysical Co. Stephen C. Jumper was elected to president and COO, Howell W. Pardue and C. Ray Tobias became executive VPs. Frank D. Brown and Kermit S. Forsdick are VPs. Chris L. Morris joined as data acquisition supervisor in Denver.

Thomas M. LaHouse and Scott C. Key joined NuTec Sciences as president and business development VP, respectively.

Andrew Andraczke was appointed president and CEO of EuroGas. Karl Arleth resigned as chairman and director.

Keith Hill was appointed general manager of Lundin Malaysia Ltd.

Santos Ltd. appointed John Ellice-Flint as CEO and managing director.

J. W. (Jim) Tucker joined Computational Geology as chief geologist and Houston representative.

Douglas Mann was named marketing and sales director at Vista Research, Inc.

Richard Chisholm resigned as president and director of Highview Resources Ltd. He will continue to work with the firm as a consultant.

Ronnie Smith became Compression Services’ Gulf Coast business unit’s account manager for south Louisiana and Alabama. Kip March became Rocky Mountain business unit manager.

The Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission awarded William J. Wynne the Marland Award, recognizing his outstanding career of more than 50 years in the industry.

Main Energy, Inc., elected Homer Hershey chairman of the board.

Luther W. Graef was appointed to a one-year term as chair of the 26-member American Association of Engineering Societies organization after serving as AAES chair-elect. Also elected to its executive committee were a secretary / treasurer and four vice chairs.

Expro International PLC appointed Stuart Ferguson as group marketing director, responsible for strategic development of the group’s three core business streams.

Larry D. J. Pope joined TECHNIP USA as president and CEO, replacing the retiring David Baker.

Servomex Co., Inc., appointed Ian MacKay sales director.

Rich Rosowski was appointed selective catalyst reduction sales manager for Johnson Matthey.

The Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers’ new officers for 2001 are: J. D. Hughes, Aggieland Salt Water Disposal, president; Marilyn Wilson, H. J. Gruy and Assoc., Inc., VP; Mark A. Doering, Classic Resources, Inc., secretary / treasurer; and Richard J. Miller, Richard J. Miller & Associates, past president.

Cofounders of Smith Rea Norman Smith and Leonard Rea have stepped down from the board following the acquisition by Capcis Ltd.

Bachrach, Wood, Peters & Associates, Inc., elected James Bailey president and CEO, replacing A. C. "Pete" Peters.

Kenneth E. Arnold will serve as president of Paragon Engineering and Stolt Offshore’s new joint venture company named Paragon Engineering International. The new firm’s goal is to expand Paragon’s capabilities for deepwater projects worldwide.

John Palmisano joined Evolution Markets LLC as managing director.

Murdo MacIver was appointed business development manager of the Shetland Decommisioning Co. Ltd.

Sandeep Khurana joined Granherne, Inc., (a Halliburton company) as a principal facilities engineer.

Dennis Proctor was appointed CEO of Hunting PLC, replacing Ken Miller, who will serve as Hunting PLC’s deputy chairman until his retirement later in 2001.

Eric K. Hanson, president of American Association of Professional Landmen selected Robin A. Forté as executive VP and William D. Patterson as director of education / general counsel.

The Houston Chapter of the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists’ 2001 officers are: C. Randall Schott, chairman; Patrick H. "Pat" McKinney, chairman-elect; Patrick J. Shannon, secretary; and C. G. "Bud" Tyner treasurer. Raymond N. Blackhall is past president. Deborah K. Sacrey and Paul W. Britt are national directors.
