April 11, 2024

(WO) – BlueNord, on behalf of its partners in the Danish Underground Consortium, announced that gas processing and export from the Tyra Satellite Herald field on the Danish Continental Shelf has begun.

According to the company, gas volumes from Tyra have already began supplying Danish and other European markets and contributes to BlueNord’s net production. This is an important milestone in the Tyra Redevelopment Project, which aims to upgrade the field’s facilities in the North Sea and help secure Denmark’s energy security.

Production re-started in March 2024 following ambitious improvement goals, which included installing eight new platform topsides, jackets, and other critical infrastructure.

"I am delighted to announce that we are now producing and exporting gas from Tyra to Denmark, following a suspension of Tyra production since 2019. This is the first step of the 2024 ramp-up, bringing us up to more than 50,000 boed of net production," said Marianne Eide, Chief Operating Officer in BlueNord.
