(WO) — The Energy Workforce and Technology Council has released the following statement in response to the Fifth National Climate Assessment.

“The energy industry continues to take actionable steps towards more efficient energy production. All forms of energy have advantages and disadvantages,” said Energy Workforce President Tim Tarpley. “Encompassing an “all of the above” approach, energy service companies and equipment manufacturers are innovating and driving new technologies to create and implement solutions to enable a lower carbon future.”

“Globally, the United States has lowered emissions more than any other country since 2005, primarily due to the movement from coal to natural gas to power our economy,” said Energy Workforce President Molly Determan. “As we move forward, we must replicate this formula worldwide.”
