Petrobras reports oil and gas production from October

November 17, 2017

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Petrobras reports that its total oil and natural gas production in October was 2.77 MMboed, with 2.67 MMboed produced in Brazil and 104,000 boed produced abroad.

The average oil production in the country was 2.16 MMbpd, in line with the volume produced in October.

The natural gas production in Brazil, excluding the liquefied volume, was 80.3 MMm³/d, 1.5% lower than the previous month. This result was mainly due to the maintenance stoppages of FPSO Cidade de Anchieta, which operates in the Jubarte, Baleia Azul and Pirambu fields, in Campos Basin pre-salt, and FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba, which operates in the Lapa field, in Santos Basin pre-salt.

Pre-salt production

In October, the oil and natural gas production operated by Petrobras (wholly-owned and partner shares) in the pre-salt layer was 1.63 MMboed, 2,9% lower than the previous month. This result is also due to the maintenance stoppages of FPSOs Cidade de Anchieta and Cidade de Caraguatatuba.

Oil and gas production abroad

In October, oil production in overseas fields was 61 thousand bpd, 3.6% lower than the volume produced in the previous month. This decrease was mainly due to operational occurrences in Akpo and Agbami producing fields in Nigeria and wells shutdown in the United States during the passage of the Hurricane Nate.

The natural gas production was 7.3 MMm³/d, stable in relation to the volume produced in September 2017.
