Inaugural Romania oil & gas summit to take place March 2016

LONDON -- Dates have been announced for the first Romania Oil & Gas Summit (ROGS), which will be patronized, hosted and developed in conjunction with Romania’s Ministry of Energy, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Business Environment.

ROGS, which will take place on March 16-17 2016, in Bucharest, will be the only event to focus entirely on the role Romania is currently playing and more importantly, can potentially play in the regional and wider European hydrocarbons industry.

Lead by the ministry and featuring several high level representatives from across the sector, the two day event will debate topics surrounding upstream, downstream, retail, gas, fiscal and investment regimes, and European context.

International energy event specialists, Global Event Partners will work in partnership with the ministry to deliver the summit, utilizing its global client base to pool thought leaders from across Europe to properly contextualize Romania’s role as a pillar of European energy.

Speaking ahead of ROGS; Minister of Energy, Small and Medium–Sized Enterprises and the Business Environment, H.E. Andrei Gerea commented, “Strengthening the European Union’s energy security and working together with the neighbouring countries on security of supply and diversification of energy routes and sources represent key objectives for Romanian energy sector. The further actions leading to the successful achievement of these objectives.”
